Missions and Responsibilities
The Saudi Center for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) is responsible for assisting and supporting healthcare Institutions, including hospitals, laboratories, blood banks, clinic complexes, and other outpatient medical centers, in achieving excellence in delivering effective healthcare services that are the safest, highest in quality, and the best in value. We do this by carrying out the missions assigned to the CBAHI.
Setting Standards
We establish and update unified performance standards for all healthcare Institutions operating in the Kingdom.
Support and Preparation
We help prepare healthcare Institutions to implement accreditation standards and maintain ongoing compliance through our training, educational, and consulting services.
Evaluation and Accreditation
We evaluate and accredit all healthcare Institutions through on-site visits conducted by professional evaluators.
Performance Monitoring
We monitor the performance of healthcare Institutions to ensure their continued compliance with the accreditation standards and key performance indicators set forth in those standards.
Recruiting and Qualifying Evaluators
We are committed to recruiting and qualifying qualified evaluators to conduct Evaluation visits.
Research
We conduct research on healthcare quality and patient safety best practices, and collaborate with all relevant authorities.
Representing the Kingdom
We represent the Kingdom at important healthcare accreditation events locally, regionally, and globally, including quality and patient safety forums. We also collaborate and share expertise with international healthcare accreditation agencies and organizations.
