His Excellency the Minister of Health and Chairman of Council of Health Services issued a resolution whereby Dr. Salem Bin Abdullah Al Wahhabi is appointed as Secretary General of CBAHI, which is the official body responsible for accreditation of public and private healthcare institutions in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al Wahhabi is one of the most distinctive Saudi scientific and administrative experts. He passed the Saudi Board in general surgery and had a French Fellowship in endocrine and breast oncology surgery. In past years he worked at MOH in various roles, most recently as a consultant for the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Planning and Development. During that period, he and his colleagues supervised numerous important projects, most notably the development of the strategic plan for MOH during 1431-1440 AH. Along with his medical degree, he holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration, with a specialty in quality and patient safety from the American Board in the Quality of Healthcare.
